STEEL & SOLID HARDWOOD
Heavy-duty cabinetry for working spaces. 16-gauge steel frames, solid oak panels, locking hardware rated for daily abuse.
Welded steel structures wrapped in raw hardwood. The strength of metal, the warmth of timber. Made for restaurants, lofts, and lived-in homes.
Full workshop and studio installations. Tool walls, parts cabinets, work surfaces — built for the makers who break things daily.
Pure-metal cabinet frames for the maximalists. Brushed steel, blackened iron, mill finish — your fronts, your way.
BRUTUM/07 was started in a Detroit auto-body shop in 1987 by Frank Mazzeo and his brother Joe — both former GM toolmakers — who decided that residential cabinets had become too soft, too fragile, too forgettable. So they started welding their own.
Three decades later we run a 22,000 sqft factory floor with 38 full-time makers — welders, woodworkers, finishers, and a single 1962 Bridgeport mill we still use for custom hardware. We don't outsource. We don't apologize. We build.
We don't do showrooms. We do shop-floor conversations, plywood-and-marker quotes, and welded prototypes. Send your spec, get a real answer in 48 hours.
